Family Dinner Out

 I don't have a lot of pictures of both of us together where Arthur has a true smile.   He just doesn't like having his picture taken.   So I really like this picture.  We were out to a nice dinner out with his two kids last December when they both came to visit us together in Columbia.  So we celebrated with a dinner out at CC's Broiler, our favorite special restaurant here in town.

This was the perfect picture for me to use this month at "SCRAP-CHALLENGE-YOURSELF" challenge #137-Butterflies.    I have wood veneer butterflies added as embellishments and I also have butterflies on one of the patterned papers that I used.

When making this layout, I chose to use the sketch at "SKETCHES IN THYME" the May 1st sketch this month.

Dinner at Cheddars

 I love the SCRAP CHALLENGE YOURSELF monthly prompts and somehow I almost missed making a layout this month.   But with a day to spare I got my layout made.   The challenge was to use Scallops so I got out this punch and started punching my scallops for the layout.

Holiday Magic

 I made this layout using the double page sketch from "LASTING MEMORIES" challenge #745.                It was absolutely perfect with all the photos to use from our trip to the Gingerbread House in Columbia, MO.    This house decorates like this every year and let people walk all around their house all evening long to see and enjoy all the decorating they have done.     They were nominated to be in ABC tv show The Great Christmas Light Fight this year.   They didn't win, but it was still fun to know someplace I have been was in the show.    I have gone 3 years now, first year by myself, the next year I took my granddaughter and her family for the first time for them and this year we had 16 people in town for Christmas, both my kids and their spouses and 3 grandkids and one mother-in-law and then my brother who lives in town too, had his two kids and spouses and 2 grandkids all from Australia.   So we took the trek together to visit the house and it was so much fun for everyone.

I made this layout using the Scrappy Friends challenges for April.   I used this great sketch from      "ROCHELLE SPEARS"   and then the tic-tac- toe board at "SCRAP WITH STACY"    I went on the diagonal for my tic-tac-toe Gold, Circles and Ink (red on some edges and blue on other edges, the paper and the matted photos and the circles.

Dance and Sleep

 This sketch for challenge #744 at "LASTING MEMORIES" was perfect for these pictures I wanted to scrap of my granddaughter at a wedding in New York for her Dads cousin.    Before she left she told me she wasn't going to dance at the reception but the pictures they took told me she changed her mind and danced the night away and then crashed in the car on the way home.

EASTER 2023

 This is my layout for the March 2025 Scrappy Friends Double Challenge.   I've used these pictures before for a layout for my granddaughters scrapbook but I'm a few years  behind on my chronological Easter scrapbook that I keep.  So I printed the pictures again and used them today using the March sketch at "ROCHELLE SPEARS".   Then for Tic-Tac-Toe at "SCRAPPING WITH STACY"  I went with the middle row across,  Twine, Tag and Wood.
